PUPIL VOICE
Our School Council
The school council communication team consist of 7 members from Year 5 and 6 whose role is to communicate pupils opinions to the School Leadership team and Governors and relay any decisions to the pupils. They hold weekly meetings to discuss matters relevant to the whole school and then feedback to their classes. They are an important 'voice' of the school.
The council meet every term with Mrs Mercer and regularly with Mrs Flint - a school governor. They also liaise closely with Miss Hockram from Friends of Fairfield, the school's parent/ teacher association.
The school council organise events to raise money for charities including 'Children in Need' and 'Comic Relief' whilst also promoting and selling tickets for the school discos. Interviewing for a new head teacher was an exciting role for the council and a privilege to be a part of.
Currently the school council are looking for different ways to improve the outside environment.
We look forward to updating you regularly on the important work undertaken by our councillors.
