OUR SCHOOL ONLINE SAFETY PLEDGE
The theme for this years Safer Internet day 2019 (February 5th) was Online Consent and how consent works in an online context. It asked young people to explore how they ask, give, and receive consent online. This could be in their friendships or relationships, how they take and share images and videos or how they manage their privacy and data.
As a school the children completed a number of lessons based upon this, including assemblies and every year group explored the subject before designing and writing a pledge to adhere to based on online safety and consent. The school council then collated these results and, in consultation with the school community, decided upon 3/4 promises to make up our school pledge.
This can be seen below. Please ask your children about how their school, parents/ carers and themselves can make the internet a safer and more enjoyable place.
